Three runners tonight at Southwell.

5.50pm Cervaro Mix runs in a novice hurdle over 2m.
With only three declarations Alan has the best form on offer so is a very short priced favourite.
Alan was way too keen last time out at Ludlow and didn’t get home, he just needed to get the gas out of him, he was very fresh off the back of a mid season break.

Alan is an easy horse to deal with though he can be strong on the gallops at times.

6.20pm The Groovy Hoovy runs in a handicap hurdle over 3m.
Groovy has had an interrupted season after needing a second wind operation last November, his first run after that was on unsuitable ground.
He has had s few little issues since then hence the break but as he wants good ground we can keep him going through the summer.

Groovy won around here first time out this season which was a bit of a shock, not because we didn’t think he was capable but because he’s so lazy at home I thought he was bound to need the run.

Groovy is a dude at home, very laid back and cheeky in his stable...he will chew anything left in his vicinity, particularly grooming kits.

6.50pm Millarville runs in a mares novice hurdle over 2m 4f.
After a disappointing first run for us Millarville had a wind operation.
It proved successful when she won at Fontwell next time out, she then ran with credit in her following outing on unsuitable ground before running ok in the mares final at Newbury last month. I was slightly disappointed that she didn’t really stay on to the line last time out but maybe she wasn’t 100%.

Millarville won a point to point in Ireland before she joined me, I have schooled her over fences recently and she is very good, I will probably send her novice chasing after this run.

Millarville is a sweet, very straightforward mare to deal with and good to ride.

They will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Cervaro is looked after and will be led up by Flora Allesandroni, he is ridden at home by Andy Llewellyn.
Groovy is looked after by C.J. he will be led up by Beth Dutton and he is ridden at home by Amy Deans.
Millarville is looked after by Amy Deans, she will be led up by Janine Hamilton who also rides her at home.
