7.50pm - Jersey Wonder runs in a handicap hurdle over 3m. Jersey Wonder ran a little bit below par last time out on rain softened ground at Haydock, it was a step up in class and he wasn’t disgraced but he just can’t quicken up in those conditions. Jersey Wonder was a decent flat horse on quick ground and he’s really taken to hurdling, he seems to thoroughly enjoy his jumping, ...

7.40pm - What’s Occurring runs in a handicap chase over 2m 4f. After winning at Ludlow on his chase debut in 2019, Gavin has been lightly raced since due to injuries. He is a talented horse who was a reasonably good hurdler and we always expected him to go on and make a better chaser. Gavin had two runs last season finishing third at Bangor on unsuitable ground over an inadequate trip bef...

3.10pm What A Glance runs in a handicap hurdle over 3m. Windy has been a bit of a work in progress, he’s a gassy horse by nature and he was very keen in his early races so we’ve had to keep him to a shorter trip until he learned to relax. This will be his first attempt at three miles today which I think will suit him, he’s not had the best of luck in his last two races and his ...

2.20pm - Francolin runs in a maiden hurdle over 2m 5f. Colin has been a work in progress, he’s a very keen horse who thinks he’s faster than he is. He basically wants three miles but until he learns to relax he won’t get home. Colin has run ok in his first two hurdle races, relaxing more with each outing, this is a step up in trip today so I hope he continues in the same vein. ...

3.30pm Peur De Rien runs in a handicap chase over 3m Roger had a successful season last winter and apart from two races where he pulled up through confidence issues he’s been consistent. Roger has really taken to fences and as a big long striding horse he loves to get into a good rhythm, Ffos Las is a course with two long straights so it should suit him.   Roger has remained in good...

Two runners today at Fontwell   7.05pm What A Glace - Handicap Hurdle, 2m4f Windy was a bit disappointing last time out at Huntingdon but it was a conditional jockeys race which did get a bit messy at times causing him to go wide. He had shown reasonable form previous to that, he has been a work in progress as he can be very keen and he needed to learn to relax. Hopefully he can get back...

We’re having a pretty big clear out of horses this spring, some that haven’t made the grade, some that are not particularly well handicapped and a few that would benefit from a change of scenery. We’re still finalising exactly what is going to the Doncaster May sales but the entries are: West Street, Dominateur, Monkey Puzzle, Pontresina, Kaphumor, Brummie Boys, Norley and Le B...

Ffos Las. Bembridge was unlucky to be beaten last time out at Fontwell when another horse bailed him at the start costing him abut ten lengths out of the gate. I was going to finish him for the season after that run but because the weather has been so cold I couldn’t turn him away, we kept him going and he’s been in such good form at home I decided to run him again if we got any safe...

One runner today at Haydock.   Jersey wonder has thoroughly enjoyed his transition from flat to hurdling improving with each race. He was a decent stayer on the flat for Jamie Osborne so it seemed obvious that he would improve for a step up to three miles last time out at Exeter but until you run you don’t know for certain that will be the case, obviously it did suit him and he look...

One runner today at Southwell. Brummie has been a disappointing horse, he has not physically changed since the day I bought him and he’s always looked on the weak side. Last time out we resorted to the blinkers in an attempt to sharpen him up because he’s so lazy in his races, he did a bit too much over three miles that day so I’ve dropped him back by half a mile today. I&rsq...
