One runner today at Bangor.

2.55pm Captain Peacock runs in a novice hurdle over 2m 3f.
C.P won here over this distance at the beginning of the month, that was in a handicap hurdle.
He went up by 12lbs so I thought he would be better off carrying a penalty in a novice.

Leighton (who is away on holiday with his children) gave him a lovely ride that day, he held him up at the back and crept his way through to lead going to the last and he won going away.
It was good to see him run all the way to the line because that was something he didn’t do last winter but as I’ve said before my horses weren’t firing at the time after a bad batch of hay.

Peacock has come back from that race full of beans, confidence is so important to horses.
He schooled well last week and again yesterday under Gavin Sheehan who rides him today.

Peacock is an easy horse to do anything with at home, he’s a real professional with a lovely nature.

Peacock is looked after and will be led up by Quinten Leceour, he is ridden at home by either Josh Apiafi or Amy Deans.
