Wheesht - ran better and jumped very well.
She didn’t quite get home on the ground, I’ll probably drop her back in trip on better ground.
Ventura Dragon - he wouldn’t have beaten the winner but he looked as if he’d be placed before hitting the second last hurdle, he lost his action and Leighton dismounted.
Ventura has sustained a bang and a cut to his joint which is sore at the moment but it’s unlikely to be a long term problem.
Brummie Boys - I was delighted with him, he jumped nicely and he will want further but he’s not yet strong enough to cope with two and a half on soft ground.
Tarada - He jumped well on the whole if a bit right at times but I would put that down to inexperience and it didn’t help when he was left alone so far from home, he is a big baby.
He was a bit stiff the following day from the ground conditions so I won’t be in any rush with him.
No No Juliet - she was running perfectly ok before losing a shoe somewhere in the home straight, she pulled up very sore and a bit distressed.
Juliet still has a bit of heat in the foot that she lost her shoe from but she is fine in herself.
Dominateur - I was delighted with his win, he looks a good staying type and he could possibly turn out to be a Welsh National horse next season.
Richie was a late substitute for Gavin who had travel issues, Dom takes some getting to know so Richie did extremely well and gave him a lovely ride.
Sevarano - basically I was disappointed with him, for some reason he didn’t really finish his race and he was pretty tired afterwards.
He’s certainly better than that in my opinion and something may come to light.
