Sevarano won nicely on his reappearance at Chepstow confirming the promise he showed early last season, he went on to disappoint a couple of times but I’m convinced that was just weakness.

Sevarano (or Steve) is a very tall horse, he’d be close on 17hh and he’s naturally a lean type but he is definitely stronger this winter, so hopefully he can continue to improve.

Steve was caught a bit flat footed first time out before galloping on strongly to the line, I’ve always thought/hoped he would be more of a staying chaser type and the way he jumps his hurdles a future career over fences looks promising.

This will be a tough task, Steve has to carry a penalty today against a couple of nice horses and on testing ground but we have to hope he’s continuing to improve and that he will give a good account.

Sevarano is a lovely horse at home, easy to ride and good in his stable.

He will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Sevarano is looked after and will be led up by Erin Pringle, he is ridden at home by Andy Llewellyn.
