One runner today at Stratford.

1.35pm Nazwa runs in a juvenile hurdle over 2m.

Nazwa had one run on the flat at Wolverhampton where he started slowly was pushed along and stayed on strongly in the final two furlongs.

It wasn’t a bad run but after that he refused to go into the stalls, so now he’s trying his hand at jumping.

I’m not sure if his aversion to the stalls is anything to do with claustrophobia because he’s not always a good traveller in the lorry.

We tried him in our two box a few days ago and he didn’t like it at all and after speaking to his previous trainer he is going to Stratford on a big LRT lorry and he has to travel racing forward with a companion, we had a practice two days ago and he was fine so let’s hope he remains that way.

Nazwa was a bit miserable when he first arrived at Neardown and he was pretty reluctant to do a lot of things, I’m pleased to say he’s much more amenable now but I still wouldn’t be certain how he will run today.

He has done plenty of schooling and his jumping is good if a little careful, he seems to enjoy it but I’m sure confidence will be key to him.

He will be ridden by Jonathan Burke.
