One runner today at Fontwell.

Newtonian annoyed me on his first outing over hurdles at Taunton, he jumped as if he’d never seen an obstacle before and he’d done plenty of schooling at home, he finished fifth but it wasn’t as encouraging as his first outing.

Newtonian is so laid back he’s horizontal, he’s not impressive in his work he only does what he has to but he has got ability and he showed it in his bumper here on his debut when finishing second.

Newtonian is a horse I like and for want of a better expression he’s probably not the brightest but they usually make the best racehorses, I think he will improve with racing and he’ll probably fare better once he’s handicapped.

Newtonian is a kind person to deal with and he’s generally easy to ride.

He will be ridden by Daryl Jacob.

Newtonian is looked after, will be led by and he is ridden at home by Cameron Johnstone Baker.
