Two runners today at Fontwell.

4.20pm Manning Estate runs in a handicap hurdle over 2m 5f.
Flash finally lived up to his promise last time out at Doncaster, he’d been a winner waiting to happen but things hadn’t quite gone his way until then.

Flash is a horse with plenty of ability who should relish the step up in trip, he usually jumps well and wants good ground.

Flash is a real character at home, he has a naughty/cheeky streak in him and he just likes to remind his jockeys at times that it’s his way or no way ??

5.20pm Republican runs in a bumper over 1m 6f.
This will be his first race.

Republican you might remember was the Kayf Tara gelding I bought at the Tattersalls Derby Sale last summer.
Republican is a handsome looking good moving horse who is extremely laid back at home, I love his attitude.
He works nicely but he is not flash in any way.

They will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Manning is looked after and will be led up by Flora Alessandroni, he is ridden at home by Andy Llewellyn.
Republican is looked after and will be led up by Amy Deans, he is ridden at home by either Kai Lenihan or Beth Dutton.
