Four runners today at Fontwell.

Bringthehousedown or Joey as he is known, arrived with us last winter thanks to Ron Hodges who recommended us because of our equine pool.

Joey has big flat feet so therefore he has had plenty of annoying issues with bruising etc.

He spends a lot of time swimming and Ben, my farrier, is his constant companion.

Joey is a big, strong horse who won on the flat In Ireland, although how he even went into the stalls is beyond me.

He is a good workhorse at home, he’s not flash but he’s very honest, you can’t help but like his attitude.

Joey can be a bit flippant with his obstacles but he’s had plenty of practice at home so he’s ready to roll and he can only improve for the experience.

Felix is a lightly raced 6yo who has shown glimmers of ability but his jumping can occasionally let him down

He jumps perfectly well at home but he can lack concentration on a racecourse.

Felix is a bit of a playboy and I’m hoping he’s grown up a bit now and he can finally knuckle down to the job of being a racehorse.

Felix is a character at home, naughty but a loveable rogue.

Monkey is a half brother to Presenting Percy and even though he’s unlikely to be any where near as good as him he is better than his bare form suggests.

He has had so much bad luck in his career to date and as a result he has only run seven times.

Monkey is a horse that wants decent ground so last winter was a nightmare for him, he had wind surgery in December after a poor show at Taunton on his only chase run and he was being readied for a spring campaign when racing was halted.

Monkey enjoys his schooling and he has always jumped well at home, he’s not flashy in his work but he’s done plenty so he should be fit enough if good enough.

Monkey is a sweet horse but he’s a bit of a goon at home and he likes to act the fool, he’s generally lazy in his work.

Little Awkward is a good looking grey gelding by Monmatre.

I bought him in Ireland at Goffs Land Rover sale as a 3yo and had racing not been suspended in March he would have run in a bumper in the spring.

Little Awkward goes nicely enough at home, he’s a good moving horse and because of his colour he catches the eye.

As with all of my bumper horses he is not trained to the minute, he knows his job but he will improve.

I never like my youngsters to have hard races at the beginning of their careers, if they are looked after and enjoy the whole experience it does wonders for their confidence and future racing life.

They will be ridden by Jonathan Burke.

Bringthehousedown is looked after by Kai Lenihan, he is ridden at home by Stefan Namesansky and he will be led up by Tom Britten.

Felix is looked after and ridden at home by Cameron Baker, he will be led up by Beth Dutton.

Monkey Puzzle is looked after and ridden at home by. Beth Dutton who will also lead him up.

Little Awkward is looked after, ridden at home and will be led up by Tom Britten.
