runners today at Ludlow.

Minella won a point to point before joining us and then ran with credit at Warwick on his first outing when finishing fifth in a decent novice hurdle.

He then really disappointed here a month ago when pulling up, he never travelled that day and I can offer no excuse other than it was horrible ground.

We had Minella checked out for the usual things after that race and nothing came to light so I have to ignore it and hope it was just a bad day at the office.

Minella is a sweet, kind horse at home who is very easy to ride and honest in his attitude.

Colin ran way to free in his bumper at Hereford on his first outing and as a result he stopped very quickly half a mile from home and all but pulled up.

He’s a horse that can be keen at times at home but I didn’t expect him to be that buzzy.

Colin was going to go point to pointing before he arrived with me so therefore he has done plenty of schooling and his jumping is very good.

I hope he relaxes more today, hurdles can help with that, he’s a lovely horse to deal so fingers crossed he can improve and chill with racing.

They will be ridden by Jonathan Burke.

Minella Royale is looked after by Jan Soldan, he will be led up by Mila Lunackova and he is ridden at home by either Tarnya or Amy Deans.

Francolin is looked after and will be led up by Mila Lunackova, he is ridden at home by Gracie O’Reilly.
