One runner today at Chepstow.

5.20pm Donladd runs in a bumper over 2m 1f.
Donladd ran perfectly respectably first time out at Bangor when finishing fifth.
He looked green on that occasion but as you know there is always plenty of improvement in my bumper horses, they are not trained to the minute and they are not given a hard time.

If young horses have a hard time first time out (or in their first couple of races) why would they want to do it again, they need to enjoy the whole experience...it’s a stepping stone which will then hopefully lead to a long and successful career.

Donladd has definitely improved for that run, he’s a horse that works nicely at home and I like him but he’s very much a typical Trevor Hemmings type, a horse for the future.

Donladd is a good looking son of Cloudings he’s pretty chilled at home, good to ride and to deal with.

He will be ridden by Harry Beswick.

Donladd is looked after by C.J. and he is ridden at home by Josh Apiafi.
