We run an annual 5 to follow competition here at Rhonehurst, it normally consists of our team plus the owners.

This year we are inviting any of our followers that may be interested to be a part of it too, it's a bit of fun and gives you a bit more of an interest in what's going on.

Please click here for the rules and entry form.

It costs £5.00 to enter, which is payable by cheque to "Oliver Sherwood" or by bank transfer S/C 60-93-03 A/C 00591506

If anyone requires a receipt please send a stamped addressed envelope.

You need to complete the form and return it to the office by October 7th 2017.

As each horse arrives I will post a picture with their name and they will be numbered as wildcards in arrival order.

Don't put in any of the babies that will not run until the New Year, if you like them you can put them in during the January transfer window.

Please click here for a list of horses in training. For those of you who would like some guidance please see horses resumes below:

Blameitalonmyroots 7yo brown mare - Rated 128. Consistent chaser who goes on most ground, she needs a good gap between her races.

Book Of Gold 5yo Bay gelding - Novice hurdler, jumps well wants soft ground. He had growing issues last season but ran very well in both his bumpers.

Born Legend 3yo bay gelding - Juvenile hurdler a fun horse who may fare better once handicapped.

Enjoy Responsibly 8yo bay gelding - He had last season off with a leg injury. He has won a point to point and two chases in Ireland. Not long been with me so I'm still learning about him.

Euxton Lane 5yo bay gelding - Unraced son of Getaway, will probably have one run in a bumper before going novice hurdling. He also had growing issues last winter, hence why he didn't run but he showed enough at home to persevere with. A typical Trevor Hemmings horse.

Felix D'Autry bay 3yo gelding - He won't run until next spring.

Fight Commander 8yo bay gelding - Rated 110, capable of winning off that mark he did improve for the application of blinkers on his final start. Usually jumps well and handles most ground.

Fort Smith 8yo bay gelding- He has won a bumper and two chases in Ireland. Not long been with me so I'm still learning about him.

Hitherjaques Lady 5yo brown mare - Rated 127. Will start off over hurdles capable of picking up Black type. Needs soft ground.

Icing On The Cake 7yo bay gelding - Rated 128. Decent handicapper will get three miles once he relaxes enough. Any ground. I hope there is a nice race in him.

It's A Sting 8yo bay geldingR - Rated 105. Has been disappointing but has ability, he needs good ground and is now fully furnished. He will be an early runner.

Jersey Bean 4yo bay gelding - Finished second in his only bumper, showed plenty of ability and jumps well. Will want soft ground if he's strong enough to handle it.

Jurby 7yo bay gelding - Won a bumper for Malcolm Jefferson two years ago, picked up an injury on his next start not run since. Schooled well recently.

Laurie Come On 3yo bay gelding- He will not run until next spring.

Legend Lady 6yo bay mare - Rated 114. She will begin over hurdles, she jumps well. A real tough filly with plenty of ability. Had an injury last season.

Linkenholt 5yo chestnut gelding - Disappointing in both bumpers last season but has shown ability at home. He will go novice hurdling and has schooled well.

Manning Estate 3yo brown gelding - He will not run until next spring.

Minella On Line 8yo bay gelding - Rated 137. Has to go left handed, can jump well but is prone to sloppy mistakes. When he jumps well he's been impressive at his level but he will have to step up again off this mark.

Monkey Puzzle pulled up lame suddenly in his last race at Ludlow but was fine straight afterwards. He will remain over hurdles where he is very unexposed, prefers good ground.

Morning Reggie 8yo grey gelding - Rated 123. Always seems better in the spring and loves Sandown. Has looked good on occasions but inconsistent. Prefers soft ground.

Mr Dorrell Sage 4yo bay gelding - Has had one run in a bumper for his previous trainer, he is not in the yard yet.

No No Jolie 5yo grey mare - She had two disappointing runs in bumpers before running a bit better in her only outing over hurdles. She's a big mare who could have just been very weak.

No No Juliet 4yo bay filly - Unraced and not yet in the yard.

Ourvilles Million 4yo brown gelding - He was too keen in his only bumper at Uttoxeter so didn't finish his race. Jumps well and works nicely at home.

Papagana 4yo bay filly - She ran very green in her only bumper at Bangor when staying on to finish fourth. She works nicely at home.

Peur De Rien 4yo brown gelding - Big good looking horse who goes nicely at home, might not take a lot of racing this season as he has a tendency to run up a bit light.

Piton Pete 6yo bay gelding - Missed last season through injury. He ran well in his latter two bumpers and his only start over hurdles, jumps well and has ability.

Pontresina 4yo brown gelding - He won a decent point to point at Eyton On Severn. He is an athletic type who jumps well, he might have a spin in a bumper before going novice hurdling.

Puffin Billy 9yo bay gelding - Rated 142 over hurdles, 149 fences. Billy has been a very good horse, we don't honestly know if he still retains that level of ability. He is a difficult horse to train, he needs a lot of maintenance. Billy needs to go right handed and loves heavy ground. This is his last chance but if at any stage we feel he's not enjoying being in training he will be retired.

Querry Horse 8yo bay gelding - Rated 127 chases, 126 hurdles. He will begin back over hurdles. Even though he won over fences last season he never really fired, he seems a bit stronger now and does have ability just needs to regain his confidence.

Rayvin Black 8yo brown gelding - Rated 136 chase, 139 hurdles.  He nearly died after a bout of colic in April, he had an operation and he seems as well as ever but we won't know until we get him back on a track again. He is a consistent horse and will run in all the usual big hurdle races hoping to pick up place money and even sneak a race if things go his way on his favoured heavy ground. He doesn't enjoy big field handicaps so this is his only option.

Robinesse 6yo chestnut mare - Rated 112.  She won her first race, a bumper at Uttoxeter and has since been placed several times over hurdles. She is a tall filly who has been pretty unfurnished to date. When things click she will be away. Needs soft ground.

Robinsson - Had last season off due to injury. Robinsson has shown glimmers of ability but has been very backward to train. He has had a wind operation.

Royal Practicioner 4yo bay filly - Unraced half sister to Valdas Princess. She went nicely enough at home last season but was too backward to get onto a racecourse.

Royalraise 8yo bay gelding - Had last season off due to injury. Won two chases in the spring of 2016 after a string of placed efforts. He was initially very strong in his races and fences have given him something to concentrate on, he wants good ground and he might even revert to hurdles to begin with as he's still a novice in that sphere.

Safe Harbour 5yo brown gelding - A very big horse that has been slow to learn, has shown glimmers of ability.

Seaston Spirit 4yo bay gelding.

Sevarano 4yo bay gelding.

Surtee Du Berlais 7yo bay mare - Rated 138. She nearly died from a rare allergic reaction to antibiotics last March. She seems fine but as with Rayvin you never know what effect these things have until you get them back on a racecourse. She is a decent, tough mare who loves soft ground.

Saint Jude 4yo chestnut gelding - Unraced, he will begin in a bumper. So far he goes nicely enough.

The Fresh Prince 7yo bay gelding - Rated 123. He won his first chase at Uttoxeter on heavy ground in January on only his second start over fences. He can be very, very keen in his races and not get home. He is another work in progress but a better class of race where they might go more of a gallop might suit him, he usually jumps well and goes on any ground.

The Groovy Hoovy 5yo bay gelding - Finished a very close second in his only bumper in June. He is lazy at home and shows nothing but it was a good run at Worcester, I was delighted with him. He has schooled nicely.

The Organist 6yo bay mare - Rated 130 chase, 135 hurdles. She was another that didn't fire last winter over fences after finishing second on her first run. Much improved effort back over hurdles at Cheltenham and could be considered unlucky when nearly being brought down going to the last. She will begin back over hurdles.

Toberdowney 5yo brown mare. She has had an operation on her eye after developing a problem during the summer whilst at grass, so she will be a fair bit behind the others on fitness. She's a very honest mare who is versatile with regards to ground and trip.

Toviere 6yo chestnut gelding - Rated 124. won his final start over hurdles at Kempton. He has been a work in progress and will now go chasing, he has schooled very well. Needs good ground.

Valdas Princess 5yo bay mare - Has had her problems (sinus and back issues) so has only had two runs. She goes well enough at home without being spectacular.

Versifier 5yo brown mare - Rated 100. An honest filly who didn't have the rub of the green last winter, she has a workable handicap mark. She will go on most ground but her better form has been on a softer surface.

What's Occurring 4yo bay gelding - He goes nicely at home and seems to enjoy his jumping. An honest horse but as with the other babies I don't know how much racing they will take until we get them on a racecourse.

Unamed - Westerner 3yo - He won't run until next spring.

Shantou- Shaun - Shaun spent a couple of months here last spring to learn the ropes. He will begin in a bumper and we will see how he takes training before deciding how much racing he has this season. He is a big backward baby.
