One runner today at Newton Abbot.
4.55pm Paseo runs in a novice chase over 2m 4f.
This will be his first run over fences.
Paseo was consistent last winter in his first few runs over hurdles before the weather went against him.
Because of the endless winter we endured we decided to give him a couple of runs on the all weather, he ran ok first time out but his form became regressive and it continued to be so on the turf this season.
Paseo ran well last time out in a very competitive handicap hurdle at Southwell.
He ended up making the running, which with hindsight I don’t think suited him and he dropped away fairly tamely in the straight... he ran ok.
Paseo is pretty cute and he will probably need headgear at some stage to concentrate his mind but he does love his jumping and that does bring out the best in him.
He has schooled very well over fences so far so hopefully fences are what he’s been waiting for.
Pads is a little star at home, he’s a jaunty, happy character who loves life.
He will be ridden by Jonathan Burke.
Paseo is looked after, will be led up and is ridden at home by Amy Deans
