One runner today at Exeter.

3.10pm Shaughnessy runs in a novice hurdle over 2m 7f.

Shaun ran ok on his debut over hurdles at this course last month, unfortunately the clerk of the course gave the ground as soft - good to soft in places....it was not, it was good ground and therefore over 2m 3f he found everything happening too quickly.
I appreciate clerks of courses have very difficult jobs to do, especially this autumn after such a dry summer but there was definitely no soft in the going that day.
Shaun and his owner were there so we let him run but it’s disappointing that the conditions were not as advertised.

Shaun has sharpened up a lot at home since that race, I think the penny is finally dropping, he has been in good form of late and he has schooled well.

Shaun is a big softie, a gentle giant who is easy to deal with and honest in nature.

He will be ridden by Aidan Coleman.

Shaughnessy is looked after and will be led up by Erin Pringle, he is ridden at home by Nick Bentley.
