One runner today at Plumpton.

Book Of Gold was very disappointing at Worcester on his first run over hurdles having shown good form in his bumpers. Leighton was never happy with him that day, he said he felt laboured from the start and it was only his ability that got him into a decent position turning into the home straight before folding tamely away.

Nothing came to light subsequently so I have to put it down to an off day and move on.

Book is a horse that works nicely at home and has always jumped well, he’s a big strong type who is an embryonic chaser.

Hopefully he can put that poor run behind him today.

He will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Book is looked after and will be led up by Erin Pringle, he is ridden at home by Elle Lloyd.
