One runner today at Exeter.

Gavin was second on his reappearance this season at Uttoxeter, when needing the race after a long lay off, he then had a horrible fall at Southwell when travelling really nicely three out.

He’s normally a very good jumper but he completely mistook the take off and he and Johnny were lucky to get away without a serious injury.

Gavin is a vey delicate horse to train so it took a while for him to come completely right again, which included lots of physiotherapy from Michelle, hence the long break since that fall.

Gavin is a horse with plenty of ability but he hasn’t always had the best of luck, he was a very keen horse in his early days so we had to keep him to distances shorter than this for a long time in order for him to settle.

Three miles on good ground should be perfect for him, he’s schooled nicely recently and he comes here in good form.

Gavin is a kind horse to deal with and he’s good to ride.

He will be ridden by Jonathan Burke.

What’s Occurring is looked after and will be led up by Lisa Falkowski, he is ridden at home by Stefan Namesansky.
