One runner tomorrow at Kempton.

Pontresina was demoted to second last time out after bumping the promoted winner at the last fence and on the run to the line, it was one of those annoying things but he still thinks he won.

That was Pontresina’s first attempt at chasing under rules and he had jumped brilliantly until the last fence, he’s not over big and he just seemed to put so much effort into jumping the fence that he dived to his left.

He did pull up a bit sore that day but fortunately it was all superficial and a couple of days in the paddock and pool sorted him out.

Pontresina loves good ground and he stays well, this track may not play to his stamina strengths but the fences need to be jumped and that shouldn’t be a problem.

He will be sharper for his first outing.

Pontresina is a very honest horse, he just wants to please and he’s kind to deal with.

he will be ridden by Jonathan Burke.

Pontresina is looked after and he will be led up by Jan Soldan, he is ridden at home by Tarnya.
