18th & 19th December
2.05pm Little Awkward runs in a handicap hurdle over 2m 3f.
March has been very consistent so far, winning twice from his only four outings, finishing second and fourth on the other occasions.
He has plenty of ability and he looks like he will make up into a nice chaser but I just wanted to get a bit more racing experience under his belt first.
March had to have a wind operation earlier in the autumn, hence why he’s not run so far, this is his first race since.
March is an honest horse who usually jumps well, he’s done plenty of work but as you e seen the majority of my string have improved for an outing.
March is a flashy looking grey who is virtually white now, he’s easy to deal with and to ride although he can be a bit of a plonker when he’s fresh.
3.20pm Rhebus Road runs in a handicap hurdle over 2m.
Rhebus ran much better on his second outing for me when a strong finishing second at Fontwell, it was just annoying that he met the last two hurdles wrong and didn’t land running.
He’s a horse that takes a lot of work and his jumping is getting sharper all the time so he’s likely to improve with racing.
Rhebus has been re fitted with cheek pieces that he has worn on the flat, this is just to keep him sharp around a track like this where they spin around the tight bends. It’s a bit disappointing that there are thirteen horses declared, you do need a bit of luck around here with that many runners because you’re always on the turn and it’s easy to have traffic problems.
Rhebus is a little pro at home, he’s easy to deal with if a little bit cheeky at times.
They will be ridden by Jonathan Burke.
Little Awkward is looked after, will be led up and he is ridden at home by Megan Brown.
Rhebus Road is looked after and will be led up by Lisa Falkowski, he is ridden at home by either Amy, Alfie or Tarnya.
