Laurie has had one run in a bumper and finished down the field, he ran better than the position suggests as he travelled well throughout the race and then didn’t get home.

Laurie has been a challenging horse to train so far, he has had so many lung infections over the last two seasons, he just seemed to catch anything that was going, every time we got him close to a run he would become ill again.

Luckily he has patient owners in the Mellett’s and they have allowed me to give him the time he’s needed to shirk off his immunity issues.

Laurie only went up to Perth for his first outing to get some decent ground as I was desperate to give him a race before he went out to grass, it’s a race you should ignore from a form perspective.

Laurie works ok, he’s very willing and a galloper.

His schooling has been good.

Laurie is a superstar at home, he’s very easy to ride and a nice person to deal with.

He will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Laurie is looked after, led up and ridden at home by Beth Dutton.
