One runner today at Fakenham.

3.00pm Jersey Bean runs in a novice chase over 3m.

Bean was a consistent staying hurdler before finishing second (of three) on his chase debut at Perth in May.
Bean jumped perfectly well that day but I think he was feeling the effects of a busy season and ran a bit flat , he then went off for a good holiday.

Bean has always schooled well whether that be hurdles or fences, he’s an athletic type who loves good ground.

This looks a competitive race on paper, there is no such thing as an easy race but especially at this time of year when every trainer wants to get a run into their novices to see where they go from here.
I think the track will suit Bean and whether he’s good enough to beat these at levels only time will tell but he does have the benefit of a previous outing over fences which could help him take on more talented horses that may improve for the experience.

Bean is cheeky by nature and he’s enthusiastic about his work.

He will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Bean is looked after, will be led up and is ridden at home by Gracie O’Reilly.
