One runner today at Ascot.

1.50pm Papagana runs in a grade 2 listed mares hurdle over 3m.
Papa ran a blinder against the boys last time out, here in the Long Walk.
If she’d really winged the second last she probably would have got up for second because L’Ami Serge was backpedaling at the time.
Papa didn’t jump the third or second last fluently that day which is unusual for her, she was probably just being taken out of her comfort zone but her owner thought it could be that the ground was at it’s worse on that part of the course.
Either way she should be happier back against her own sex today and she does enjoy soft ground.

Papa is a very honest mare who gives her all and we have freshened her back up again since that race but it was only a month ago so you never know if it has left it’s mark until you run again.

Papa is a gorgeous looking and beautifully bred mare she will go off to stud at the end of this season (????) so any more black type she picks up along the way will all look good on her pedigree.

She will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Papa is looked after and will be led up by Jan Soldan, she is ridden at home by Charlotte Reid.
