Without many runners this is a review of the last two weeks.

05/03/20 Wincanton Cilaos Glace - I was disappointed with him, it was not his ideal track.

Nothing has come to light post race so I’m going to try different tactics next time.

07/03/20 Hereford Donladd - I was satisfied with his run, he just got a bit tired in the last two furlongs after a long lay off. His jumping was very good.

There will be plenty of improvement in him as I’ve had a nightmare with him at home.

08/03/20 Warwick Laurie Come On - I don’t think he handled the ground, he will definitely want further but the jury is still out over ability.

I hope he proves me wrong.

Book Of Gold - he didn’t want to line up and was uncompetitive from flag fall.

It was probably his gold cup when he won here early in the season.

I’ll freshen him up now completely and send him off for some away days on fun rides or hunting to see if we can rekindle his enthusiasm.

09/03/20 Taunton Seaston Spirit - what a little star he is, he jumped really well and stayed extremely strongly. He had a low weight and was given a lovely ride by Aiden.

It was a gutsy performance.

13/03/20 Fakenham The Fresh Prince - very annoying to fall as he’s the best jumper you will ever see.

He showed there was still plenty of enthusiasm he now just needs a bit of luck.

14/03/20 Kempton Sevarano - I was really pleased with him, the visor made him travel better.

He was beaten by a seriously nice horse, it’s just annoying to be second again.

I’ve been second in this race twice before with Eric’s Charm and Many Clouds so it’s not a bad thing to have on his CV.

Republican - he ran a blinder only beaten 13 lengths in the end, he’s improving with every run and we won’t see the best of him until next season over fences.

I love him.

Cervaro Mix - little disappointed with him, he jumped really well and he appeared not to get the trip but we are doing a few tests as he blew quite hard post race.

Uttoxeter - Dominateur - Gavin was keen to give him a chance early on but I feel he got too far out of his ground and became uncompetitive as a result.

He did run on and he jumped ok.

There will be other days for him.

Broughton’s Rhythm - he ran his usual game race but just found one too good for him.

He’s a fabulous jumper and I’d dearly love him to win a race with him before retires from NH racing.
