One runner today at Worcester.

5.15pm Makety runs in a mares handicap chase over 2m 4f.
Makety ran perfectly well at Southwell last time out when finishing third, she had a good blow afterwards and I think there will be improvement in her.
Makety is a bit of an enigma, she has shown enormous potential at times but she still remains a maiden over obstacles having won a bumper before she joined us, horses often make fools of you but I’m staggered that she hasn’t won a race yet.

Makety has schooled nicely at home and I hope fences will bring about a change of luck for her.
I’m still not certain what trip is her optimum as she has appeared tripless at times but she has had a lot of bad luck in her races to date so let’s hope we find the key to her because she does have ability.

Makety is quite a busy mare at home, she can be keen on the gallops but she’s sweet to deal with.

She will be ridden by Jonathan Burke.

You may have seen in The Racing Post yesterday that several yards are opening in September for National Racehorse Week, we are opening our doors to the public in September 15th from 8.30-12.30.
This is an opportunity to come and see us all in our new surroundings, thanks to Charlie & Kate Mann.
We will post more details in the weeks to come but to book a place please click on the link below.
