One runner today at Wincanton

2.30om Peur De Rien runs in a handicap chase over 2m 5f.
Roger got loose on his way out of the paddock at Huntingdon just over a week ago, he can get into a bit of a state sometimes when the jockeys get on and he often has to be mounted on course.
I’ve no idea why he does it but he was once a very gassy horse to ride so it seems to be a remnant from that.
Roger finished fourth on his debut this season at Worcester, he got very tired that day on ground that was given as good to soft but ended up being pretty bottomless.
He raced up with the pace and jumped brilliantly but Sam thought he was travelling just out of his comfort zone on that ground which contributed to him weakening quickly in the home straight.
Roger is a confidence horse who loves to get into a nice rhythm in his races, I am slightly concerned that this track and trip could be a tad on the sharp side for him but the fences are big around here and his jumping is usually exceptional.
I think an easy three miles is probably his best distance but there were no suitable alternatives this week on good ground.
Roger is a very good looking, tall horse who is kind and easy to deal with.
He will be at by Jonathan Burke.
Peur De Rien is looked after and will be led up by Cameron Baker, he is ridden at home by Tarnya.
