Two runners today at Plumpton

Bembridge runs in the Novice Hurdle at 12:15pm. Bembridge ran a creditable fifth in a bumper at Fontwell on his first run. The form of that race has worked out ok, he has come back from that race well and has been schooling nicely at home. I do think he'll appreciate further in time when he's stronger but this looks like a nice race for his hurdling debut. He will be ridden by Brendan Powell.

Little Awkward runs in the 1:18pm an Auction Hurdle. This means all the horses in this race cost less than 30k, Little Awkward won his bumper nicely at Fontwell and then finished fourth under a penalty at Exeter. The form of the Exeter race has worked out well. We sent Little Awkward to Laura Collett to do some pole work a few weeks ago as he could be quite flippant over his hurdles. He has come back a lot sharper and is know economical over his hurdles. I backed off him a little after Exeter and gave him time to freshen up again, he's been in great form at home and hopefully he'lll run a nice race. He will be ridden by Daryl Jacob.

Bembridge is looked after, ridden at home and will be lead up by Flora Alessondroni
