Two runners today at Warwick.

Book Of Gold was disappointing in his first outing over hurdles at Worcester on his reappearance, he then ran a more encouraging race at Plumpton when finishing third. The winner hacked up but he was unlucky not to be second after being squeezed up at the last.

Whilst it was an improvement on his first run his jumping annoyed me that day, he was very flippant yet at home he's a brilliant jumper.

He's done plenty of schooling since.

He ran well here in his bumper first time out and I'm hoping this heavy ground will bring his stamina into play, he's very much a staying chaser in the making.

Book is a big strong horse who has got a good old buck in him when he's fresh.

Surtee was always struggling to go the pace of the front runner in her first chase, she's always had a lazy style of racing and on goodish ground at Fontwell it found her out.

She jumped adequately but it if a horse isn't traveling you never seem to meet the fences right, she got into the bottom of them and landed a bit too steeply at times.

She is wearing first time blinkers today, she has had cheek pieces on once before and it helped her to travel.

She will love the ground and even though she would prefer further she has won and run well around here before.

Surtee can be a right madam at home, she's lazy on the gallops, she'll kick other horses and is a cow to clip but she is as tough as teak and very capable on her day.

Book Of Gold is looked after and will be led up by Erin Pringle he is ridden at home by Tom Garner or Elle Lloyd.

Surtee is looked after and will be led up by Peter Macek, she is ridden at home by Gracie O'Reilly.
