5.15pm Trevada runs in a novice hurdle over 2m 4f.
After three good runs including a win in bumpers Trevada was disappointing with his jumping on his first hurdle race last month.
He’s a big horse who had schooled nicely but he just looked as if the hurdles got in his way and he never got into any rhythm at Hereford.
I’m sure this course will suit him more.
Trevada is from a very good family of jumpers from which I had the talented Tarada for Trevor Hemmings, he’s a very honest horse who will make up into a nice chaser with some more experience.
He will be ridden by Tom Cannon.
1.52pm Royal Lake runs in a maiden hurdle over 2m 6f.
Terry finished second last time out at Warwick, it was a good run and he really stuck his head down and galloped to the line.
His previous three outings for us had been disappointing but he had his reasons, ground then wind and in January my horses weren’t right.
Terry looks as if he’ll make up into a better chaser but I wanted to get him a bit more experience over hurdles before he goes off for his summer break.
Terry is easy to deal with, he’s generally good to ride although he can get a bit tense at times on the gallops if something upsets him.
He will be ridden by Jonathan Burke.
Trevada is looked after by Alfie Jordan who also rides him at home, he will be led up by Marcel Danihel.
Royal Lake is looked after, ridden at home and he will be led up by Beth Dutton.
