One runner today at Aintree.

2.25pm Euxton Lane runs in a listed novice hurdle over 2m 4f.
Euxton has been impressive in his last two runs at Fontwell and Newbury, the latter was over this trip and whilst he got it he was very keen throughout the race.
I’m hoping they will go a stronger gallop today which will help him to settle early on, he’s got plenty of natural speed.

We’ve always thought a lot of Euxton but he had growing issues last season so we didn’t manage to get him onto a racecourse.
After a promising first run in a bumper at Bangor he has taken a while to get everything together over hurdles and the penny finally began to drop at Southwell when he finished second to Global Citizen.

He’s continued to improve and grow in confidence since winning at Fontwell but this is a huge step up the ladder, I’m hoping he’s ready for a race like this but he is very much a horse for the future over fences.

Euxton is a huge horse (he’d be 17hh) and he’s a beast of a horse in the string, he can be a bit of a boy to ride and he would attack another horse if they get too close to him, luckily apart from at feed time he’s easy to deal with in his stable.

He will be ridden by Aiden Coleman.

Euxton is looked after and will be led up by Marcel Danihel, he is ridden at home by Stefan Namesansky.
