Sam showed a decent level of form last season in novice hurdles but he always looked as if he’d make a better chaser.

Sam is very laid back at home and not a flashy horse in any way but on a racecourse he has a relentless gallop and he’s very honest.

Sam did finish second in a point to point before Tim Syder bought him, he has schooled well at home and even though he will improve for a run he’s done plenty of work.

Sam is very chilled at home, he’s got a wonderful nature and nothing bothers him.

He will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Sam is looked after by Amy Deans, she is away this week so Flora Alessandroni will lead him up and she rides him every day at home.
