One runner today at Aintree.

4.05pm Rouge Et Blanc runs in the Foxhunters chase over 2m 6f which is over the National fences.
Rouge has run over these fences five times now and competed all bar once when he unseated Leighton at Valentines last spring.

Dear old Rouge is such a star of a horse, he belies his age in both looks and behaviour.
He’s been retired twice but he just loves the routine of being in training and because he was in such good form at home we told Pippa she could take him point to pointing/ hunter chasing.
After not getting the trip in his only point to point he then ran well in a good hunter chase at Hereford, this was followed by winning at Lingfield.
He had a ball that day and basically ran away with Pip from start to finish giving her a first winner under rules, it was lovely to see him like that again and it gave all of the team a lot of pleasure.

Rouge has been in unbelievable form at home, he’s thoroughly enjoying his new role as a hunter chaser, it’s a lot less competitive than the races he was running in last season.

This will be a dream come true for Pippa, who has managed to combine her studies at Cirencester Agricultural College with riding out here for two seasons now.
They make a great team so let’s hope for a clear round and anything else is a bonus.

Rouge is looked after and will be led up by Peter Macek, he is ridden at home by Pippa Glanville who also takes the ride today.
