Weekend runners, all meetings are subject to inspections to see if racing can take place.

Wincanton 1.30pm Manning Estate is running in a handicap hurdle over 2m 5f.

Flash is reverting to hurdles today after two perfectly adequate runs over fences where he jumped nicely but he just didn’t travel.

I wanted to rekindle his enthusiasm by bringing him back to hurdles, I wouldn’t rule out a return to fences but at this stage he looks as if he’s going to be better over the smaller obstacles.

Flash is a lovely looking horse who was a bit of a boy as a youngster, he’s much more grown up now and is easy to deal with.

He will be ridden by Kai Lenihan.

Chepstow 3.10pm Dominateur runs in the Coral Welsh Grand National over 3m 6f.

Dominateur ran well enough on his reappearance this season at Sandown, he was beaten quite a long way on unsuitable (for him) ground but it was satisfactory as a prep run.

Dominateur was due to run at Chepstow earlier last month but I was worried about him having too hard a race on the heavy ground (prior to the original date for this race which was postponed two weeks ago), so I gave it a miss and took him for an away day gallop at Nicky Henderson’s instead, he’s perfectly fit it was just to sharpen him up for today.

Dominateur is a horse with plenty of ability but he has been let down by his jumping on occasions, we sent him over to Laura Collett after his first run this season and she did a great job of getting him to make a better shape over an obstacle and lift his shoulders more.

He’s continued to school well at home since.

He will be ridden by Gavin Sheehan.

Sunday Exeter.

Vinnie started the season well with a win and two good fourths before running below par last time out at Wetherby, Johnny said he felt very flat that day even though he hadn’t run for over a month, so we decided to give him a longer break to freshen him back up.

Vinnie is a horse that needs a decent break between his races and he takes no work at all to get fit so I’m hoping that he can return to his early season form today.

Vinnie is a pretty gassy horse at home, he’s strong on the gallops and likes to get on with things.

He will be ridden by Daryl Jacob.
