There is a heavy frost forecast so the meeting is in doubt but will be subject to an 8am inspection.

Valdas has been a problematic filly to train, she suffered from back issues last season and she also had to have her head drilled to remedy a serious sinus condition, it sounds worse than it is and anyone out there that has suffered with their sinus’s would understand the relief she must have felt.

Valdas ran here over five furlongs further last time out because she doesn’t show me a lot of speed at home, she surprised me with the way she travelled that day and she was fading when falling at the last flight.

She didn’t deserve the fall and she was stiff and sore as a result of it, I’ve given her plenty of time to recover.

Valdas is a lovely filly to do anything with, she’s honest, kind and easy to ride.

She will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Valdas is looked and will be led up by Emily Wall who also rides her at home.
