Broughtons is still a novice at ten and he’s been second a million times but it’s not because he’s ungenuine, it’s because he’s one paced and he always seems to find one too good for him even at a low level.

Broughton’s was originally very buzzy and keen so we kept him at two miles because his owner was happier for him to race over the minimum trip, he’s now much more relaxed therefore we’ve been able to step him up in distance today and I think he will get further than this.

Broughton’s is a nice person to deal with, he can be strong on the gallops.

Castlegrace Rose was second in a point to point before being bought by Tim Syder to come to Rhonehurst to replace Blameitalonmyroots.

Castlegrace was bitterly disappointing on her first outing for us, a bumper at Fontwell, where she pulled up three furlongs out.

She was very wobbly when coming off the racecourse and because her heart checked out fine it makes me think it was wind related but there was no noise.

Castlegrace was thoroughly checked over afterwards including for a wind problem and nothing came to light so I have to ignore it and hope she maybe swallowed her tongue, she is fitted with a first time tongue tie today.

Castlegrace is a nice filly who loves her jumping, she works well at home without being flashy.

Dorrell has had wind issues and he has had his soft palate cauterised ....this did work initially but as occasionally can be the case he had to have it re done last season.

Dorrell shows plenty at home but he has not enjoyed a lot of luck on a racecourse and he’s not always been easy to assess regarding his best trip because of his wind.

He deserves a rub of the green.

Dorrell is also wearing a first time tongue tie on today.

Dorrell jumped perfectly well on his first outing over fences in a competitive race at Taunton, he blew up three out and then Leighton wasn’t hard on him once beaten so the form reads worse than it is, he takes a lot of work to get fit and he has improved for that run.

They will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Broughton’s is looked after by Gracie O’Reilly and he will be led up by Marcel Danihel who will also lead up Dorrell, he is ridden at home by Stefan Namesansky.

Castlegrace Rose is looked after and will be led up by Beth Dutton, she is ridden at home by Janine Hamilton who also rides out Mr Dorrell Sage.

Dorrell is looked after by Marcel Danihel.
