6th May - Market Rasen
3.00m Jersey Wonder runs in a handicap hurdle over 3m.
Jersey Wonder has been consistent at his level since he went hurdling.
Obviously the higher you get in the handicap the better the races are that you compete in and that may be the case for his Cheltenham run although he was too keen that day but his last two poor runs can be explained.
His November run at Kempton came off the back of a busy summer and he needed a break, he then reappeared at Southwell in January and he pulled up having run no race after which he was found to be suffering from an irregular heart beat.
He has been given a long break to recover and he had an ECG whilst being galloped a couple of weeks ago to make sure he was ok.
You can never be certain that it won’t happen again in race conditions but he will be checked by BHA vets at the racecourse tomorrow and if anyone, including Amy or Johnny are worried about him in any way he won’t run.
Jersey Wonder has been in tremendous form at home recently, he’s such a professional in his work and schooling you can’t help but love him.
He will be ridden by Jonathan Burke.
Jersey wonder is looked after and will be led up by Beth Dutton, he is ridden at home by Megan Brown.
