Two runners today at Plumpton

No No Maestro in the 1.10pm Maiden Hurdle

He ran well in his only race to date when finishing second at Fontwell in a bumper, he was very green on that occasion and he was staying on well at the line.

Maestro has schooled nicely at home but he does need to learn to relax and I think he will improve with racing.

Maestro is a nice horse to deal with at home, he’s basically good to ride and Clare has done a good job with him getting him to relax as much as possible on the downs.

Seaston Spirit (Kieth) in the 2:10pm 3m 1f Novices Handicap Chase

He ran ok first time out at Huntingdon, the race was run at a furious pace and on ground faster than ideal for him.

The main thing that day is that he enjoyed himself having had a difficult time over fences early last season.

Keith has been more assured in his schooling at home this season and he has been very bullish since his last race.

The ground will suit home more today.

They will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

No No Maestro is looked after and will be led up by Jan Soldan, he is ridden at home by Clare Robinson.

Seaston is looked after, will be led up and is ridden at home by Erin Pringle.
