Two runners tomorrow at Huntingdon.

2.00pm Sammy Bill runs in a novice hurdle over 2m.
Bill ran with credit on his first outing for us at Exeter last month but he was far too keen early on.
He’s a big horse with an enormous stride on him and if Leighton had realised he was going to be quite so fresh and strong he would have dropped him in, as it was once he jumped off he struggled to get him to settle.
Hopefully with the gas out of him he’ll be more relaxed and will finish his race better.

Bill is a tall, leggy very striking horse with a lot of white about him, I think he’s got an engine but he’s still got plenty of strengthening up to do.

3.00pm Piton Pete runs in a novice chase over 3m.
Pete will only run if they get the forecast rain or the jockeys tell me it’s safe ground, he prefers very soft conditions.
Pete didn’t get into any rhythm last time out at Ludlow when unseating two out, the ground that day was good and he just found everything happening too quickly for him.

Pete has always schooled well at home he’s usually pretty careful if anything and I’ve been desperate to run him again for a while but it’s been an impossible winter for heavy ground horses.

Pete is a dude to deal with, he’s good to ride and he is very straightforward to train.

They will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Sammy Bill is looked after and will be led up by Marcel Danihel, he is ridden at home by Flora.
Piton Pete is looked after by Kai Lenihan, he will be led up by Flora Alessandroni and he is ridden at home by Tarnya.
