Three runners today at Doncaster.

1.50pm Jersey Bean runs in a handicap hurdle over 3m.
Bean won three races on the bounce before finishing second to an extremely well handicapped horse at Market Rasen unfortunately he paid the price with a hefty hike in the handicap, an unrealistic mark of 142.

After a lacklustre run at Cheltenham Bean ran ok on ground that was softer than ideal last time out at Huntingdon, he just looked badly handicapped....sadly you have to be beaten a few times in order to win again.

Bean is honest and he loves good ground I hope he can give a good account today but if not he deserves to be given a chance by the handicapper.

3.00pm Papagana runs in a listed mares novice hurdle over 3m.
Papagana has improved with every run this season (apart from when she was nearly wiped out at Market Rasen) she is very brave and she stays well.

Papa picked up her black type last time out when finishing third in a listed race at Sandown, the two horses in front of her beat her on her previous outing (at Haydock) but she was closer to them this time.

This will be Papa’s first attempt at three miles and she looks as if she’s screaming for the trip, there are not many listed novice mares races over three miles and whilst I’d prefer softer ground for her you have to run in the races available.

4.05pm Manning Estate runs in a novice hurdle over 2m 3f.
Flash has run well in all of his races to date, he’s been a consistent horse who has given his first time owners (Sue & Joe Norman) a lot of fun.

He looked all over the winner last time out at Plumpton where he was outstayed on ground that had changed from good to softer during the day, which didn’t help him.

Flash wants decent ground and I think this track will suit him, he has ability and loves his jumping he just needs to put everything together now and get his head in front.

Flash is a bit of a boy at home, talented and occasionally naughty ... a real character.

They will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Bean is looked after, will be led up and is ridden at home by Gracie O’Reilly.
Papagana is looked after by Harry Beswick who also rides her at home, she will be led up by Gracie.
Manning is looked after and will be led up by Flora Alessandroni, he is ridden at home by Andy Llewellyn.
