Two runners today at Hereford.

12.50pm No No Jolie runs in a conditional novice handicap hurdle over 2m 4f.
Myrtle ran a much more encouraging race at Leicester last time out under today’s jockey, Harry.
We tried different tactics with her, holding her up and coming with a late run, having previously made the running with her.
Myrtle works exceptionally well at home which is why we have been scratching our heads as to why she’s been so poor on a racecourse, her last race was better so we have to hope we might have found the correct way to ride her now.

Myrtle is a lovely looking mare who is easy to deal with she will make a lovely broodmare in time.

She will be ridden by Harry Beswick.

3.30pm Makety runs in a mares novice hurdle over 2m 5f.
Makety is unraced under rules but she did win a point to point bumper here last April.
When Makety arrived at Rhonehurst her eyes were out on stalks and she took a little while to settle into being at big school, until she relaxed and started eating properly I had to go quietly with her.
Amy rode her out at that time and did a very good job with her.
When we finally began to get some work into her we realised her wind wasn’t quite right so Ben Brain had a look and she had a tumour the size of a fifty pence piece growing just below her epiglottis, it was unbelievable.
Ben operated on her and removed the tumour, which must have been growing over a long period of time, she most likely had it when she won here previously.

Makety was given time to recover and has not missed a day since we got going again.

Makety is a very kind, honest mare, she loves her jumping and works nicely at home.

She will be ridden by Liam Heard.

Myrtle is looked after and will be led up by Erin Pringle, who will also lead up Makety, she is ridden at home by Kai Lenihan.
Makety is looked after by Jana Stefanova she is ridden at home by Amy Deans.
