25/11/19 Kempton.

Felix D’Autry he ran ok, he’s still got a few jumping issues and he got a bit worked up prior to the race.

He’ll be better when we can step him up in trip once he’s learnt to relax and knows more about racing.

Papagana I was really pleased with her run, she’s so straightforward and honest, she’s a joy to train.

She enjoyed the ground but would handle it softer, she’ll improve for this race.

Pontresina didn’t finish his race as he should have done, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt as the rain had really got into the ground by the time he ran.

I’ll see how he is but I’d like to send him novice chasing on better ground.

27/11/19 Hereford

Ventura Dragon ran a much more satisfying race, he seemed really up for it and jumped and travelled better than previously.

He deserved to win and annoyingly he will go up in the handicap for being beaten ....one of my bug bears, it drives me mad.

Brummie Boys I was satisfied with his run and the way he jumped. I probably shouldn’t have run him over two and a half on this ground because he didn’t get home.

He’s definitely more of a long term prospect and he won’t be over Racing this season.

28/11/19 Taunton

Republican it was a much better run and he didn’t hang, he’ll get further and he’s probably one that will fare better once he’s handicapped.

He’s got potential.

Monkey Puzzle I probably found the most competitive race outside of Cheltenham but that’s the problem when everyone is looking for better ground.

His jumping was good and he didn’t hang, he want beaten that far in the end and Leighton was not hard on him once he knew he couldn’t be in the four.

29/11/19 Newbury

Sevarano I was delighted with him.

Apart from his first bumper he hadn’t run through the line until his two races this season, he’s just so much stronger now.

The trip is important he’s obviously a stayer in the making but he was too weak to cope with further than two last winter.
