Two runners today at Huntingdon.

1.35pm Paseo runs in a juvenile hurdle over 2m.
Paseo is a Juddmonte bred gelding by Champs Elysee, he had one run on the flat for Amanda Perrett finishing 7th.
He ran ok that day without setting the world alight but I think he was pretty backward, he was certainly very green when we began working him.

Paseo enjoys his jumping and he has gained confidence with practice, he works nicely and is a thoroughly likeable person.

4.40pm The Groovy Hoovy runs in a handicap hurdle over 3m 1f.
Groovy has been a largely disappointing horse.
He has had wind surgery in the past which helped him to finally get his head in front at Southwell but there has been no consistency to him since.
Groovy ran well enough when finishing second at this track on his last appearance and the plan was to keep him going through the summer but he then went flat on me at home, he’s always been a lazy horse on the gallops but he just looked/seemed lacklustre so we had to give him a break.

Groovy is a character at home, he’ll chew everything in his reach and he’s cheeky in nature, he’s a popular horse within the yard.
If racing doesn’t work out for him he could turn his hand to other disciplines because he’s so easy to ride.

They will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Paseo is looked after and will be led up by Kai Lenihan, who will also lead up Groovy, Paseo is ridden at home by Amy Deans.
Groovy is looked after by Marcel Danihel and he is ridden at home by Flora Alessandroni.
