Happy New year to you all and let’s hope we start 2020 the same way we finished 2019 ????

Three runners today at Exeter.

Broughton’s didn’t get home over three miles last time out at Leicester, I thought he would get the trip and because he’s so one paced it would have made life easier for him.

Broughton’s is a star to deal with, he’s a good jumper and very honest ...I’d dearly love him to get his head in front, sadly he’s always the bridesmaid.

Laurie ran perfectly well last time out at Plumpton when finishing a well beaten third, it was a slowly run race and after being tapped for toe turning out of the back straight he stayed on well to the line.

Laurie will want further than two miles but he’s not yet strong enough to get it, his jumping has been good so far and he’s been enjoying his racing.

Laurie is a sweet horse at home, he’s very easy to ride and to deal with.

Felix has always been a bit of a goon at home, he just thinks life is all a bit of a lark but there’s no harm in him and he does have ability.

Felix has looked green in both his races to date even though he has done plenty of work and schooling, it’s just him and the penny will drop at some stage and then he’ll be away.

Felix has always been a playboy but he’s a character in the string that everyone loves, we wouldn’t want him to change.

They will be ridden by Leighton Aspell.

Broughton’s is looked after and will be led up by Gracie O’Reilly, he is ridden at home by Stefan Namesansky.

Laurie is looked after and will be led up by Beth Dutton who also rides him at home.

Felix is looked after and will be led up by Jan Soldan, he is ridden at home by Megan Brown.
